The alpine pastures of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains are the key to the flavor of Brandon Natural Beef. At 8,000 feet, our cattle forage for themselves, eating succulent grasses such as timothy grass, blue grama, red top and clover. They drink live water from mountain streams and roam freely. This environment creates a superior taste in the beef.

Brandon Natural Beef cattle are Hereford cattle, which thrive in mountain environments, and are rated for their tenderness. Since our cattle stay on ranch pastures their whole lives and are slaughtered locally, they endure less stress. Less stressed cattle make for more tender beef. Finally, our beef is naturally aged for a minimum of twenty-one days. Brandon Natural Beef will melt in your mouth.

Brandon Natural Beef cattle are raised by our ranching partner, Elin Rusher of Music Meadows Ranch in Westcliffe, Colorado. As a fourth generation rancher, Elin embodies the passion of ranching: caring for each animal, managing the pasture, riding and working with the cattle each day. Buying Brandon Natural Beef supports this tradition of sustainable cattle ranching.
